Equmen Launches Support Underwear

A new Sydney-based company, Equmen, is bringing the body-slimming undergarment concept into the men’s arena, with a line of T-shirts, briefs and trunks making its debut in the U.S. early next year. Designed with input from physical therapists, the tight, form-fitting garments are said to help improve posture, blood circulation and, perhaps most importantly, visibly streamline the body.

Similar technology is already popular in the performance activewear market, with brands like Under Armour, Nike and Skins offering compression underwear that helps improve athletic performance. Equmen, however, is geared toward...

Christmas: Saved from Our Sin

Christmas: Saved from Our Sin
by Rick Warren

She will bring a son to birth, and when she does, you, Joseph, will name him Jesus — “God saves” — because he will save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 (MSG)

**** *** *** ***

The term sin is tossed around so often that, for many people, it’s lost any significant meaning. They think of sin as a list of things they shouldn’t do. And, since everybody has their own list of sins, what may seem bad to me might not be such a bad behavior for you.

The problem with thinking of sin in this way is that I will look at my list and think, “If I just don’t do these things, then I’m not a sinful person.” And, you’ll look at your list, and think the same thing. And, we’ll both look at each other’s list and think, “His list is all wrong! A really good person would follow my list, not his!”

Get this: Sin is an attitude. It’s not something you do. It’s an attitude.

What’s the middle letter of sin? “I”

What’s the middle letter of pride? “I”

Sin is an “I” problem. Sin is saying, “I want to be my own boss. I don’t need God. I’m doing just fine, thank you very much.” Sin is saying, “God, I know what will make me happy more than you do. So I’m going to do what I want to do with my life, not what you put me on earth to do.” That’s sin.

The Bible says every one of us has had that attitude at some time or another. That attitude has caused us to be separated from God. That’s why, when you pray, you feel like your prayers bounce off the ceiling – because they do. There’s a separation between you and God. That’s why God sent Jesus as the Savior.

Every one of your problems is caused by sin – the separation from God. Sin causes confusion in your life. It causes guilt. It causes shame. It causes regret, bitterness, resentment, grudges, worry, fear, anxiety, depression, discouragement, emptiness, despair, and conflict between you and other people. Every one of your problems is the result of you not being connected to God. You are separated from God by your own sin.

The Bible says that Jesus came to save you from your sin, your “I’m going to do my own thing” past. No matter what you’ve done, Jesus can give you a clean slate. His ability to save you from your past is more powerful than anything you ever did in your past.

The name Jesus means “to save people from their sin.” He came to set you free from your sin.

Jesus wants to set you free from the burden of guilt. Did you know God doesn’t want you to carry guilt around? That’s why Jesus came – to pay for all your guilt so you can be forgiven.

Jesus wants to set you free from the pain of bitterness. When you hate other people, when you hold resentment of others in your heart, it’s like a cancer. It’s going to eat you alive.

Jesus wants to set you free from the expectations of other people, from your worry of, “What would other people think?”

Jesus wants to set you free from the fear of death, from the burden of worry, from anxiety and stress. God says, “I want to set you free from all that.”

The Hallmark Of Glory

By: David Amanor

People of Ghana,

Praise the Lord. God has confirmed His election, redemption and glory upon our country. Election 2008 has set ablaze the light upon the nation. The world is aflame with the light and glory of God upon Ghana.

By and through this, darkness will flee Africa. Joy will fill hearts. The daughter of Zion will put on her garment of glory. Halleluya!

This development is however under pressure and threat of disruption and siege from the forces of Pharaoh and Egypt, and the Assyrians. We fear not their numbers. They have already been stopped at the gates of the city.

Nevertheless, we need to strengthen the defence of the land and stand firm by the standard raised by the Lord against the flood of the enemy.

Ghana is a land of beauty, a place of the peace of God and hope of glory, the working of the Lord God of hosts. Let us rise up as an army to defend the works, promises and glory of God in the land.

Let us pray for the peace and progress, prosperity and good of Ghana. It will be the hallmark of Divine glory upon the nation.

God Bless Ghana Peace be unto you.

Who Says NDC Is Broke?

For months, the opposition National Democratic Congress has told the whole world that it is not as financially sound as its other competitors. However, events days before, during and after last Sunday’s presidential and parliamentary elections have given the lie to this assertion. Using a combination of lies, half truths, and money, the party, according to checks, induced gullible voters to buy into its message of Change. Conservative estimates put the final figure of NDC spending on election day at GH¢5 million.

The allegations abound. The party which claimed to be cash strapped managed to organise enough funds to offer GH¢200 each to all NPP polling agents in the Ashanti region to help fiddle with the figures of the final ballot or at worst look away whilst it is being done, this paper is reliably informed by several agents who were approached.

In the coastal areas, NDC agents reportedly bought barrels of pre-mix fuel and distributed them to fishermen on the eve of the elections with a promise to do more if elected into government.

Yesterday in Ablekuma North and South constituencies of the Greater Accra region, party agents were sighted distributing GH¢5 as Thank You gifts to the electorate in the area for voting NDC.

Similar gifts were being distributed in several regions, especially in NPP strongholds. The ‘largesse’ does not end there. In parts of the Central region, kerosene, soap and clothes were still being distributed as at press time. Indeed, the wife of NPP MP for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, P C Appiah Ofori, was a beneficiary of this ‘donkomi.’

NPP Spent $48 Million On Campaign

Intelligence gathered by the True Democrat has it that the NPP campaign team blew a staggering $48.8 million on the December 7, 2008 elections. The sources of these monies have been traced to massive injection of drug money, organized and directed by some high profile members in the NPP government and some NPP Members of Parliament. The other disturbing news is that the contingency fund, using national security and the Office of the Chief of Staff, was also depleted as a result of massive withdrawals to fund the NPP campaign.

Figures sighted by our intelligence based on monies released by the Controller and Accountant-General showed that between October and November alone, the quantum of funds withdrawn by the Office of the Chief of Staff and National Security Secretariat was Staggering. The monies withdrawn and monitored by the intelligence showed that they were diverted into the NPP campaign. The massive diversion of the funds to oil the campaign created some operational difficulties for National Security. What is even strange is the huge dose of funds also released to the Research Department under the guise of building a monument and some bogus foreign operations. The greater part of these funds found their way back into the campaign war chest of the NPP.

Fuel price cut prompts vote-buying claim

Ghana's petroleum authority cut fuel prices by 17 percent from Friday, prompting opposition allegations that the ruling party was using its influence to buy votes ahead of a Dec. 28 presidential election run-off.

The cut, announced on state television late on Thursday just a day after the run-off vote was announced, was by far the biggest in a series of fuel price reductions as world oil prices have fallen by two-thirds from record highs five months ago.

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) normally surveys prices over the first 15 days of the month and announces any modification on the 16th or 17th.

"But here we are just on the 11th day of December, an announcement was made after an election in which the government did not do well, to assuage the people, knowing very well that voters are preparing for December 28," said Kwabena Donkor, a spokesman for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Ghana: Runoff Election Is Forced

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: December 10, 2008
Neither the governing party nor the opposition secured enough votes to win Sunday’s presidential election outright, forcing a runoff in Ghana, one of Africa’s few stable democracies. Nana Akufo-Addo, of the governing New Patriotic Party, received 49.1 percent of the vote — just 1 percentage point shy of what he needed to win the election in the first round. The opposition candidate, John Atta Mills, received 47.9 percent of the 8.6 million votes cast, according to returns from all but one of the country’s 230 precincts. The runoff will be held on Dec. 28.

Nike x DJ Clark Kent - Black Friday Air Force 1

-i know im real late with this one. sorry i was sleep!
With its consecutive releases in 3 different locations along the eastern shore of U.S., the Black Friday Air Force 1 by DJ Clark Kent is by far the most talked about launch on sneaker forums and blog rolls in recent weeks. Composed of rich black pony hair along 2/3 of its vamp with a pearlized silver patent leather on the latter third, the sneaker gives off an appearance of a creature with silver mane in motion. A pre-treated patent leather wrap around along the mid-sole create an iridescent halo when light strikes at certain angle, further enhance the illusion of movement.

In a brief talk during the launch event last Friday, Clark Kent explained the 3 maxim he adhered to during the design process:

As a student of consumerism, Kent knew that black colorway is by far the most popular among buyer, whether it be cars, electronics, or sneakers. It is also the most versatile, with ease of transition from informal to formal, leisure to work.
Because of its prominence in American culture, instead of a sale event, Kent wanted to “liven” things up and make it more interesting for Black Friday shopping
Perhaps the most important focus for Clark Kent during the Black Friday AF1 design process - to incorporate as much lux materials as he can to the design. To add as much value as he can so his fans walk away content about their purchases.
In the end, Clark Kent came away satisfy with the finished product. But he stressed, the final say on Black Friday’s success is not with him but his fans and fellow sneaker heads. Look forward to several projects he’s currently work on for 2009, including a pair for ladies’ only and a trio of limited editions for 2009 All-Star Game in February.-
